ADOPT

Do you know someone interested in adopting a cat or kitten?  Please tell them about us, or direct them to this website.


PROVIDE A FOSTER HOME

We need people who are willing to hold and care for our cats while they are waiting for adoption into permanent homes.  This could be for a period of weeks or months.  The more foster homes we have, the more cats we can take off the streets.

PROVIDE A HOLDING SPACE

We need places to care for our cats before and after their spay/neuter surgeries.  If you have a garage, basement, porch (in good weather), or other suitable area we can use for this purpose, please let us know.

HELP US DO TNR

We'll train you to make a real difference in the lives of the cats in your community.  You can do TNR on an occasional basis, or on a regular basis.  Or you can just do your own backyard.  See when the next TNR class is, or email: tnr@savekitty.org.

HELP WITH SPECIAL EVENTS

Adoption Events: 

Several times each year we participate in major adoption events that take place in Manhattan and Queens.  We could use help setting up for those events.  We could also use help with transportation to and from those events.

Fundraising Events: 

Fundraising events are an important part of raising the funds necessary to care for our animals. If you're interested in helping to run a wine-tasting, fundraising dinner, or other event, please contact rosary@savekitty.org.  And if you have other ideas about how to help us fundraise, we'd be delighted to hear them.

We have beautiful, high-quality SaveKitty notecards for sale.  Each card is a portrait of one of our rescued cats, along with its rescue story.  We also have totebags and mousepads for sale.

Besides monetary donations we have a wish list of items that we are always in need of:

• Cat food, litter, wee-wee pads
• Blankets, towels, sheets
• Carriers
• Cleaning supplies, especially bleach
• Paper towels
• Large garbage bags
• Foil pans (used as temporary litter boxes)
• Disposable surgical gloves
• Humane traps
• Dare we ask? . . . a car, van or SUV to transport our animals
